The E-Session...should you do engagement photos?

You're engaged! It is a time to celebrate and start planning your wedding. As a part of the celebration of your engagement, many couples want to do a session to document this happy moment that has just happened in their lives. Others may ponder and wonder if they should do an engagement session. Everyone is different and is entitled to do as they choose, but if you are still on the fence, consider this. An engagement session can be available as part of your wedding photography package, so why not do it. This is your chance to embrace your moment, be a couple and just have fun. Planning a session doesn't have to be another to do list item or be something to stress about. It should be a fun time as a newly engaged couple, I mean how cool is that, "you're engaged"? It is all about the moments between the two of you or maybe even a special place that you share. As a wedding photographer, the e-session for me is a chance to get to know our couples. We get to pick a day and hang out for a few hours, chat and just be ourselves. It builds chemistry between you and your photographer which becomes a very important facet on your wedding day. For you as the couple, the e-session is an opportunity to get in front of the camera before the big day! I mean you may not of had formal photos since your senior year in high school, it is almost like a practice before the wedding day so you feel at ease later on. As a couple, it is your time to shine, take a few moments and share your love. Your session can be something you love to do together and just let the photographer capture your moments. We have worked with many couples and all of them want something unique to them. For some, it is just a nice portrait together so we chat with our couples and help them decide on a location.

Others may want something more formal, maybe a destination portrait as this couple did in Vegas. Both wanted to get very dressed up, the groom-to-be in a tux and the bride-to be in her Calvin Klein gown in one of their favorite places to visit.

You may also want to just do something that you love doing together or is a reflection of your personalities. This couple loves to go to the movies together and has a passion for the theater.

Montage Resort Wedding Sneak-Peek, Orange County Wedding Photography

We shot an amazing wedding yesterday at the Montage Resort in Laguna Beach, CA. The day was perfect including the weather for a November day at the beach. The Knot's OC Wedding Blog...a place for the Bride-to-Be

Hello to the Orange County Wedding Community! I am so happy to announce that this is my first post as the featured blogger to the Orange County Weddings blog by The Knot. This blog is a new feature that will bring information to brides who are planning their wedding in the Orange County, CA area. I am so thrilled about this amazing opportunity for Sipper Photography, our brides-to-be and wedding vendors of Orange County.
At Sipper Photography, we have had a blog for about two years which has featured our work, style and the things we do. It has proven to be a great success in educating our clients about our services and who we are as photographers and people.
A few months back, our blog was discovered by an Orange County Account Executive at The Knot. She approached me about blogging for their new website and without hesitation I told her I would love to be considered. This past week, I have accepted this new venture with The Knot and will be their featured blogger for the Orange County area at OrangeCounty.Weddings.com.
I will be the expert in Orange County for all things wedding related, as a bride-to-be this will be a great resource for you in planning your wedding.
Our blog at Sipper Photography has become very popular as it showcases not only our photography but the places and people we work with. I will be using this same concept with this blog as I educate brides-to-be on all things wedding related in Orange County. We hope to share the spectacular weddings we shoot, reception sites, wedding details, and other fabulous vendors in the wedding business to service brides in Orange County. My blog will be a place you can stop by for inspiration as well as referrals for planning your special day.
