Table Scape+Centerpiece Idea by H. White Special Events

Summer is fast approaching and for all of you brides planning a Summer 2011 wedding I thought I would share some ideas for your reception table centerpieces. Recently, I attended The Wedding Salon Event at The London West Hollywood Hotel and had the opportunity to work with Hylah White of H. White Special Events. Hylah and her team designed this beautiful table scape to showcase at the event including a gorgeous high branch centerpiece with crystals and orchids. This summer's trend for table centerpieces are Nature themed with lots of tall branches and this is a great example of just that. With an added teal textured linen this centerpiece really popped off the table!

Hope you enjoy the ideas ladies. Happy Wedding Planning! Best, Dana

Trash the Dress or Drez the Dress? | After Wedding Shoots

Getting married is one of the most magnificent days in your life. Yes, it takes a lot of planning to make this day happen, but when you finally get there it is all you ever dreamed of. Face it ladies we were all young girls once who dreamed of our wedding dress and someday walking down the aisle to meet our true love. When we got there, we said, "I do!" It was the most amazing day shared with family, friends and the love of your life. Thankfully you took your wedding photos, so you can remember that day always.

I remember the day after my wedding, the hair came down and I thought, I am someone's wife! One of the first things in order was to preserve my dress. I wanted to save it, so off to the cleaner's it went. About a week later my dress was clean and all boxed up and ready to tuck away in the closet. Yes, all of that money spent, worn only for one day and only a hope that someday it will come out again! Well, Jeff and I got married almost 10 years ago. Yes, the 10th wedding anniversary is coming up in August, I can't wait! At that time, that is what we did with our wedding dress.Today, brides still box up their dresses after the wedding, but times have changed and now we do Trash the Dress sessions. What is a trash the dress session? Well, some literally trash the dress by taking your gown in a scene out of the ordinary. The bride will drag the dress, get it wet or even dirty all in the name of art. Others will just have a relaxed shoot after the wedding in their gown...something fun, artistic and it is just another chance to wear that fabulous dress and look pretty.Recently, I came across this new idea for an after wedding shoot when I was asked to do a Drez the Dress shoot. Here a wedding dress was transformed into a beautiful floral art design by Kimberly Clark of drezrehersal Event Planning & Lifestyle Co with all flowers provided by Design Floral Art Studio.

Here the bridal gown turns into a couture piece of art!

I loved doing the shoot, there was so much room for creativity, we could do something totally different then what we may do photographing a wedding day. The idea behind the Drez the Dress shoot is that you take your dress and transform it into a piece of art for photos, then have the dress with flowers included freeze dried and framed or maybe draped on a dress form as decor in your home. Along with that all of the fun shots from the shoot! Here are some shots featuring a Drez the Dress shoot. Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by...your day will be amazing! Congrats, Dana

Good Gracious ! | Los Angeles Catering Co.

Welcome to Good Gracious Events, a Los Angeles based Catering & Event company. If you are a bride in need of some fabulous food for your wedding then you must check them out.

Food | Fun | Love

Pauline Parry has been in the catering business for 30 years. She started her company Good Gracious because she wanted her parties to be filled with food, fun and love. I had the pleasure of meeting Pauline and her staff on a recent visit to her business and I just loved her! She shared with me the joys of starting her business back in 1985 after moving to California from England. Since then, she has happily served many clients over the years, received awards and has been published, but doesn't stop there. She continues to create impeccable food for every event filled with love.

I had the pleasure of having her fabulous food on a few occasions and it was incredible!

Here I have featured her Chicken Picatta with Capers, Baby Mix Salad with Pomegranate, Stilton English Blue Cheese and Spicy Carmelized Pecans with a Herb Bread Stick.
Good Gracious makes all of their own breads!

Did someone say dessert???
A Coconut Sushi w/ Candied Ginger, Dark Chocolate Rocky Road Cookie and Sugar Empanada...YUM!

Serra Plaza | New Orange County Wedding Venue in San Juan Capistrano

"Orange County's Newest Wedding Venue"

You are going to love Serra Plaza! If you are a bride still looking for a wedding venue in Orange County, then you must go and check out Serra Plaza in San Juan Capistrano, CA.

I was recently invited to attend a wedding vendor brunch at Serra Plaza and it was MARVELOUS! I had the opportunity to tour the new venue and was amazed at how beautiful this plaza was. It is just the perfect backdrop for sharing your vows.

The bride can walk across the beautiful hallway for all the guests to see, then stroll down the staircase to her groom.

"Watch the Walk"

"Staircase"

Serra Plaza has many gorgeous amenities to accommodate you and your guests. I loved the old church pews around the fountain (you can have chairs if you want, but the pews make it). Oh and don't forget the outdoor stone fireplace for cocktail hour. There is also going to be a new bridal suite for you, so you can get ready in style!!!

Serra Plaza is located near the Historic Los Rios District and very close to The Mission San Juan Capistrano. As a wedding photographer in Orange County, I can tell you that this is a wonderful area for your wedding photography. So many photo ops!!

I LOVE WEDDINGS! Brunch charger plate display, so cute!

Looking for a great caterer? I tasted some fabulous food provide by:
Andreis Conscious Cuisine
Jays Catering
Good Gracious Events
Sundried Tomato Cafe

Here are some other great wedding vendors that were a part of the day at Serra Plaza. Please check them out as you are planning your wedding.
